Seven hardy Biggar Ramblers set themselves a challenge and climbed Meall nan Tarmachan (3425 feet), the vertiginous Meall Garbh (3668 feet) and crossed the Tarmachan ridge. All set in the stunning Lawers range with terrific 360 degree views of mountains and lochs, including a perfect view of the Ben Lawers Dam, this was a challenging but rewarding climb, and for some their first Munro. The group then stayed overnight in Aberfedly, before travelling to pitlochry the following day for a more gentle walk along the river Tummel.
