On a bright sunny morning, two members of Biggar Ramblers set out to climb Black Mount, a hill of 516 metres above the village of Elsrickle. During the climb, amazing views opened up in all directions, and time was taken trying to identify the peaks which stretched from the highlands beyond Glasgow right round to Berwick Law. Having reached the trig point at the peak of the hill, time was taken to take photographs and wonder at the amazing panorama that stretched out in all directions.
