Ten walkers from Biggar Ramblers enjoyed some sporadic summer spells and occasionally bracing winds on an interesting ramble around the Carmichael estate.With great views of Tinto hill all the way round we encountered two derelict but very interesting manor houses.  A coffee stop in the woods and an enjoyable picnic lunch outside the pretty Carmichael village church kept us going.
